BEROCCA × BAYER

Re-editing a TVC for Netflix, Prime and Stan — and bringing the B-B-B-Bounce back to Gen X.

// CASE STUDY

OVERVIEW

Bayer engaged Picture House Collective to create new motion assets and re-edit an existing Berocca TVC into 15-second versions for digital VOD platforms — Netflix, Amazon Prime and Stan. The goal was to better connect Berocca to a core audience that had not responded to the current TVC: Gen X. By leaning into a hit of nostalgia and using digital post-production to extend actor performance beyond what was originally captured, we blended the original Berocca "B-B-B-Bounce" strapline back into the new assets.

THE CHALLENGE

The existing TVC wasn't resonating with Gen X — a generation that grew up with the iconic Berocca "B-B-B-Bounce" advertising but had tuned out the current creative. The brief required repurposing existing footage into platform-native 15-second cuts for premium VOD environments, while reigniting an emotional and nostalgic connection with an audience the brand had lost.

THE SOLUTION

We produced a suite of new motion assets and re-cut the TVC into 15-second versions optimised for Netflix, Prime and Stan. Market research guided the creative direction, and digital post-production allowed us to extend the talent's performance beyond what was captured on the day. The original "B-B-B-Bounce" strapline was woven back in — tapping straight into Gen X nostalgia. Testing showed huge improvements in recall, and the brand is reporting successful campaigns across digital.
